Great Vacation in Aruba!
I called CS Travel mid-January looking for a relaxing break from life. I'm single and I was looking for an all-inclusive where I did not have to worry about anything. I suppose the nudge was the changing weather and at the time I was looking online at Club Med resorts in the Caribbean. I called up CS Travel and asked Crystal what she could do instead, since Club Med was expensive with the single supplement at that moment. She proposed Tamarijn All-Inclusive resort in Aruba, and I had a look at the website and the price was much more reasonable for me, and I booked it. Last minute break from life! An airport pickup to the resort was organized, and I really appreciated that because there is no Uber in Aruba and there seemed to be a bit of line when I came out of the airport. The room was modern and clean, but more: it was right on the beach. I could literally walk out the door and there was a beautiful sandy beach. When I got tired of the beach, or it got too hot, there was a beautiful pool in the back. Tamarijn and Divi share a number of restaurants and I hit everyone during the week. Pure Lime (more like Tapas) and Club Lime (Mexican) were the highlights for me, but Paparazzi (Italian) and Red Parrot (French to Argentinean) also very good. Breakfast is a buffet, also very good from my experience (very fresh - I travel for work regularly), and also enjoyed the poolside bars where you could get pizza, sandwiches, etc. Not once did it feel strange because I was travelling by myself. I took advantage of the tour desk and took an ATV tour of the island that was really memorable. Drinks are not available at the beach or multiple satellite pools, but are available in the afternoon and at sundown with a short walk to several beach-side bars. Drinks are available to 1 am at the main pool bar, and in the evening local entertainers were organized every night. The main pool arear is quite social and friendly. All-in-all a great trip. Best of all, I flew out on January 25th during a major snowstorm that hit Toronto, but Air Canada got us there, no cancellation - it was a lucky break (I later found out), but I really appreciated the airline's efforts to get us there. Highly recommend, it was a perfect for me, but also would be great for couples and I noticed a few young families enjoying themselves as well.
